YSL Beauty Review

November 16, 2017

Hello Everyone,
Thanksgiving is a week away and this year I am hosting thanksgiving at my house for the first time! Ahhh legit freaking out here!! Luckily I have this guide that Gaby from whatsgabycooking.com put together to guide me through. Wish me luck!!

For the last couple weeks I have been trying out a new foundation, primer and concealer from Yves Saint Laurent beauty and I cannot wait to share the results with you.

Hello YSL All Hours Full Coverage Foundation

What is claims to do:

A new 24-Hour, full-coverage foundation that instantly blurs pores and fines lines and provides uninterrupted flawless wear that looks and feels just applied, all-day. All Hours 24-Hour advanced formula won’t cake, dry, flake, or fade. Transfer-proof, oil-free and non-pore clogging, this foundation stands up to makeup meltdowns by combining move-with-you flexible pigments and skin-loving ingredients for better flawless coverage and skin that feels fresh and comfortable from day to night.

The blurring formula instantly conceals and erases imperfections, pores, dullness, and unevenness. Skin looks flawless for up to 24 hours thanks to the highest concentration of ultra-fine, oil absorbing pigments that cover and smooth perfectly yet resist fading, heat, humidity, dryness, and touch. The formula is also infused with a black tea antioxidant complex for additional skincare that combats the signs of dullness and fatigue while protecting skin from pollution.

All Hours Foundation is made in France with the finest pigments and ingredients that respect and care for the skin. All Hours is oil free, noncomedogenic, and dermatologist tested. (sephora.com)

What it really does:

After testing the foundation out for the last couple weeks , I can honestly tell you that I love it! I don’t agree that its full coverage as it claims to be but you can definitely build up to full coverage without cakeiness or heaviness on the skin.  I loved the finish, because it’s not a full matte where it will make you look dry. It is a natural matte that makes your skin look seriously flawless. This foundation wore up to ten hours on me with no flaking and fading. I found that I preferred the way  my makeup brush applied this foundation as opposed to the Beauty Blender that sheered it out too much for my liking. All Hours foundation does contain SPF however, it didn’t flashback or create a white cast in any pictures< WINNN!!!

YSL All Hours Primer

What it claims to do:

A primer that creates an instant perfecting layer for a long-lasting flawless matte complexion. The step zero of any make-up routine, this primer improves foundation’s wear and adherence, leaves the skin shine-free throughout the day, minimizes pores, and smooths skin’s surface to prevent any cracking or creasing in foundation products.  (sephora.com)

What it really does:

This primer is seriously awesome. It definitely smooths skins appearance and seems to have a blurring effect on the skin. I really like the texture and how it just melted instantly  into my skin without that silicone-y feel that most primers have.

YSl All Hours Concealer

What it claims to do:

A new 16 hour-wear, full-coverage concealer that instantly and completely covers skin imperfections, yet does not crease, crack, or look masky. Instantly blur and erase imperfections including dark circles, bags, redness, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries, age spots, and discoloration. This advanced 16-hour formula won’t cake, crease, or fade nor will it accentuate the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The highly concentrated, flexible pigments move with you to provide a highly workable and blendable texture that stands up to makeup meltdowns and resists fading, heat, humidity, and touch. The ultra-smooth, creamy matte finish looks just-applied all day. No touch-ups required. (sephora.com)

What it really does:

Ok, here is the thing, this concealer was hard to review. It lasted a long time on me, like this stuff has some serious staying power! However, I didn’t feel that it covered all that well.  I have severe dark under eye circles, so concealer is a must for me. This concealer did little to cover up my under eye circle on its own. However when paired with my Nars  soft matte complete concealer  it was a hit! But I do think All Hours concealer is a tad on the pricy side comparing to other concealers so if it doesn’t work on its own, it’s really not worth it. If you do not have dark undereye circles and are looking for a good concealer with great texture and serious staying power, this concealer is for you.
