When Old Loves become New

So ten years ago  I walked into Sephora for the first time and met this super cute sales girl who later would be my esthetician Christine, and she introduced me to the incredible Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads. I used them religiously for years then decided to swap them out to try other things. However about a month ago, I listened to the Skinny Confidential’s Podcast interviewing Dr. Dennis Gross, and it was amazing. The interview was such a fountain of knowledge that I decided to go back and re-acquaint myself to this old favorite product.  Here I am almost a month later after incorporating the Alpha Beta peel pads in my skincare again, I am seriously impressed with the results, so of course, I have to share with you guys about it.

So What is it?

The Alpha Beta Peel Pads  are  pre-soaked pads that are formulated “to resurrect radiance and diminish the appearance of the three most common signs of aging.”

Ingredients include:

-Glycolic Acid:  is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid(AHA), that is great for chemical exfoliation. It reduces the signs of aging, discoloration, scarring, and wrinkles.
-Salicylic Acid:  is an inflammatory property that diminishes breakouts, helped clogged pores and supports natural collagen.
-Malic Acid:  is also an AHA found in apples, that supports collagen production.  And promotes natural cell renewal; reduces wrinkles, exfoliates, and moisturizes.
-Genistein: Supports optimum natural collagen levels.

What does it do?

According to Sephora, “Achieve smooth, beautiful skin in two minutes with no recovery time. Dr. Dennis Gross’ iconic renewing peel is an easy and safe at-home version of peels he uses on patients at his NYC practice. Step one is packed with rejuvenating, powerful, yet gentle exfoliating acids. Step two controls the alpha hydroxy acid activity, delivers antiaging actives, nourishes, and keeps skin balanced, smooth, and radiant. Skin immediately looks refreshed and perfectly prepped for a more effective skincare routine. Expect to see the improved texture and diminished fine lines with continued use. This universal formula contains a combination of five acids, ideal for first-time peel users and those of all skin types.”

Sounds great right? But does it deliver?

Yes!  So you use this once at night  (Step 1 and Step 2) starting like 2-3 nights a week and working up to 6-7 nights a week. Pro Tip- I actually cut each pad in half and use one packet over two nights, to make it last and get more bang for my buck. You guys I cannot tell you enough how much I love these Alpha Beta Peels Pads. Everyone I have run into in the last month has commented on how good my skin looks.  I definitely see a difference in its tone and firmness. I feel like my skin looks tighter, more even, and so much more radiant. I totally recommend this product. However as with all products containing AHAs, please make sure to use your sunscreen during the day!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads are definitely TBGR approved!
