Wednesday Favorites: Wedding Guest Must Haves!

August 26, 2015

Hey ya’ll

I am attending a wedding coming this Sunday and thought I would share with you my wedding guest essentials for preparation and clutch essentials. This post was inspired by one of my favorite bloggers: The Skinny Confidential; However, I customized it adding my own tips and tricks.

Start with the prep:

Spray tans are always awesome but another great alternative is

But most importantly, body contouring which I do with these products. I use the Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs lotion in medium all over my arms and legs, then I use the Airbrush legs spray in Tan to contour my arms and legs, then lastly using the St. Tropez Skin Illuminator in Gold to highlight.

To Contour-

Arms : “Flex your arm to find the natural lines of your biceps. Use your other hand to apply a light vertical line into the hollow of your muscle using a darker color with a wide fan brush. While still flexing, identify where your bicep begins — this is usually 1-2 inches away from the inner bend of your arm. Apply a light shade of the dark color at an angle toward the elbow. Again, while flexing, place a similar mark where the muscle begins to meet the shoulder, angled upward toward the shoulder.” (makeup.com)

Legs- Place darker color on inner and outer thighs and contour around calf muscle .Place lighter color in a straight line  from underneath the bottom of the cheeks to back of the knee and the center of the thighs down to the shins and ankle.

Just in case I did not explain that well. I found this on google images

Hair

I really hate the way I look in pictures with my hair up, I just do not feel I am one of those girls that can rock an updo. So I always leave my hair down and curled. These are my favorite types of hairstyles found through Pinterest.

Nails

I love a pale pink polish it is so elegant and chic.Red of course, is a no-brainer classic. These are my favorite colors:

Teeth

Of course no party prepping is complete without a sparkling white smile.

Makeup

For me, I find that the best makeup for weddings is a classic smokey eye with a nude lip. I love my red lipstick , but red tends to be so high maintenance with me. Here are some of my favorite products:

Eyes: For a classic smokey eye I use colors: Morocco (in the crease and undereye), Noir (in the outer V and under eye) and Bellini, Chic, or spoiled on the lid. I love the new Tarte eyeliner (review coming soon) and for Mascara, it does not get better than the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara.

Lips: My favorite nude lip  combo is from Charlotte Tilbury but I have included some more nude (and even a red) combos below

Now onto Clutch Essentials

Mac’s Studio Fix Powder is the best in the market for touch ups in the Tzone area. Urban Decay’s Flushed Palate is my favorite because it is compact and 3-n-1. I also love the Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner – Blackest black- and stays put.

Eyelash glue because I like to be prepared just in case. Tide to go because I have a toddler that is determined to get something on my clothes wherever we go. Finally Sole Serum because it is a lifesaver, serious must have!  Check out THIS post I wrote earlier this year detailing the awesomeness of Sole Serum.

I love this Honest Company Hand Sanitizer spray. It’s great to spray your hands or toddlers hands, any object that drops on the floor, or even door handles. Eos Lotion is great because its small, slim,  and very moisturizing. Flower bomb portable perfume is great for a long day out because it lasts forever and doesn’t fade.

And of course the classic essentials which include Bobby pins, Safety Pins, and Fashion Tape (not pictured)

Well there you have it, my wedding essentials, I hope you enjoyed reading this post. If there are any questions or comments , please let me know below

Stay beautiful loves,
